About

Vegan Cookie Lab is an experiment in plant-based baking: a new vegan cookie recipe every day, and a Lab that invents cookies from whatever you have in the pantry.

The cookie of the day

Each daily recipe is developed with AI and goes through several checks before it’s published:

  • Its key flavors are compared against every recipe already on the site, so no two share the same combination.
  • Every ingredient is screened for animal products such as eggs, dairy, honey and gelatin, with vegan versions of chocolate and candy called out.
  • Oven temperature, bake time, quantities and yield are checked for sense.
  • A second AI pass reviews it the way an editor would and sends it back for fixes until it holds up.

Daily recipes haven’t been test-baked in a kitchen yet, so use your judgment and keep an eye on the first batch. Those recipes say so at the bottom of the page.

On every recipe, the photo is AI-generated, and the intro, tips, swaps and storage notes are written with AI from that recipe and screened the same way for anything non-vegan.

The Lab

Pick the ingredients you have and The Lab writes a vegan cookie recipe around them. Lab creations are yours to experiment with and don’t appear in the recipe list.
